The potion of wind charging creates a wind charging effect. When a player or mob with the status effect dies, it can knock back players or mobs. The potion of wind charging is in the 1.21 update. To get it, you have to play in the snapshots. If there are any changes, I’ll do an updated video.
How to Get the Potion of Wind Charging
I’m going to assume that you understand brewing. But if you don’t, I’ll have a card on the top right for the brewing stand.
To get the potion of wind charging, you will need to distill a Breeze Rod into an awkward potion. The awkward potion is netherwart distilled into a water bottle.
The Breeze Rod is an item that drops when you kill a Breeze. The Breeze will drop one to two Breeze Rods. With a Looting three sword, this can be increased to four to eight Breeze Rods. The Breeze is found in the Trial Chambers from a trial spawner that spawns Breezes. The Breeze is an elusive mob that can move quickly and jump far. It is immune to arrow and Trident damage, so you will have to get close to it to kill it. If you want to know more about getting the Breeze Rod, I’ll have a card on the top right.
The potion of wind charging will give you the wind charging effect for 3 minutes.
You can turn the potion of wind charging into a splash potion by distilling gunpowder. This makes it so that when you throw it at a mob, it will get the wind charging status effect.
You can turn a splash potion into a lingering potion by distilling dragon’s breath into the splash potion. The lingering potion will create a cloud that has a three-block radius. This cloud slowly reduces over 45 seconds. Mobs that walk into the cloud will get the wind charging status effect.
The lingering potion of wind charging can craft tipped arrows with arrows and a lingering potion. This will give a mob the wind charging status effect for 22 seconds when hit with an arrow.
The potion of wind charging also cannot have the potency increased with Glowstone dust or increased duration with redstone dust.
How to Use the Potion of Wind Charging
The potion of wind charging gives the wind charging status effect. When a mob is killed, it can create a wind charging effect. This will give knockback to any surrounding mobs or players.
It is an unusual potion that doesn’t have much practicality to it.
The wind charging potion will appear as part of the ominous trial. There will be lingering potions summoned over the players or mobs. Having the wind charging effect go off while you’re doing the ominous trial could be disorienting and make it more difficult.
The wind charging potion could be useful or harmful in an ominous trial. It could knock back mobs surrounding you or yourself.
